Ingredients
- 12 1/2 fl oz Hella Cocktail Co. Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup (1 bottle)
- 1 tbsp. bourbon or rye whiskey
- 1 tsp. (optional) bourbon or rye whiskey
Instructions
- Prepare a lollipop mold, preferably on top of a large silicone mat. Add the sticks in advance if possible.
- In a large saucepan or pot, pour the 12.5 oz bottle of syrup and 1 tablespoon of the whiskey of your choice. Turn the heat to medium high.
- Let cook and reduce and do not stir
- Periodically check the temperature with a candy thermometer. Mixture will thicken and bubble. As soon as it reaches 310 degrees, add the additional whiskey (if using) and remove from the heat.
- Carefully pour the hot mixture into the prepared mold before it cools, making sure the sticks are encased within the candy.
- Let cool until solid and no longer warm to the touch, about an hour.
